Gift It Forward
Gift It Forward is Dubai Holding’s flagship philanthropic initiative that transforms brand-new surplus inventory into meaningful gifts for low-income communities.
By connecting businesses with social impact efforts, volunteering and corporate sustainability goals, we are building a circular economy that gives more and wastes less.
This initiative supports the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy and aligns with the Dubai Integrated Waste Management Strategy 2041.
How it works
We invite businesses in the UAE to donate new, unused items, including clothing, personal care products, accessories, books, toys and more.
These items will be collected by The Surpluss, our execution partner.
Employees from Dubai Holding and partner organisations are invited to volunteer at pop-up marketplace events, assisting with gift distribution and interacting directly with beneficiaries.
Beneficiaries choose gifts that suit their needs and those of their families at the marketplace events, providing a more dignified donation experience.
We increase community awareness and encourage sustainable practices through workshops which promote long-term behavioural change.
We also track our impact, i.e., the number of items delivered, quantity of waste diverted, stories of real people reached and much more.
